PART TIME & FULL TIME. STARTING PAY $15/ HOUR (NON-HIGH SCHOOL APPLICANTS ONLY - MORE BASED ON EXPERIENCE). ALL POSITIONS. MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE. MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH SCHEDULE. SHIFTS VARY 6:00 AM- 5:00 PM

  • Experience as a deli, prep or line cook (desired but not required).
  • Include any management experience if applicable.

THE GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and maintain knowledge of our dynamic menu to effectively prepare food and communicate to our guests.
  • Follows recipes to prepare and assemble ingredients to create soups, salads, and entrees with consistency, quality and appropriate quantity, maintaining integrity of tried and true recipes
  • Understands special dietary needs and which dishes to recommend for which need.
  • Preps ingredients including but not limited to chopping, thawing, deboning, and brining.
  • Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Utilizes all closing and opening checklists.
  • Keeps work station clean and sanitary, including stovetops, ovens, countertops, storage shelves, and walk-in shelves.
  • Participates in invoicing as requested.
  • Facilitates communication between kitchen shifts through appropriate communication.
  • Communicates concerns and ideas to manager.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

THE SKILLS

  • Punctuality, reliability, and ability to take direction. Flexibility in schedule as shifts will vary from opening, closing and weekend work.
  • A knack for delivering personable customer service and a desire to make connections with guests everyday.
  • Preferred candidates have some experience working in a restaurant, bar or fast casual environment (not required).
  • Knowledge of food prep is a plus (will teach the right candidate).
  • Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles.
